About the DSP & SP Roles at Infosys

Infosys hires for two premium roles through its advanced technology talent initiative:

1. Digital Specialist Engineer (DSP)

  • Focused on full-stack development, cloud, and advanced technologies.
  • Requires problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Assigned to digital transformation projects across clients.

2. Specialist Programmer (SP)

  • This is a high-paying niche coding role for exceptional problem solvers.
  • Involves programming in advanced languages such as Java, Python, C++, Node.js, and more.
  • Requires advanced DSA, algorithmic thinking, and competitive programming skills.

Both roles involve training at Infosys’s Global Education Centre (Mysore) followed by deployment on live client projects.


Eligibility Criteria

Only students who meet all of the following conditions are eligible to apply:

  • You must be a 2024 or 2025 batch student.
  • Any degree (technical or non-technical) is allowed except for medical/dental backgrounds.
  • General off-campus applicants cannot apply unless selected from a pre-screened list.

  • B.E. / B.Tech – All streams
  • M.E. / M.Tech – All streams
  • M.Sc (Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics)
  • MCA
  • Integrated M.Sc/M.Tech programs


Academic Criteria

  • No active backlogs
  • Minimum 60% or 6 CGPA in 10th, 12th, and graduation/post-graduation
  • Consistent academic record throughout


Selection Process

The Infosys DSP & SP hiring process includes:

  1. Online Coding Test
  2. Duration: ~180 minutes
  3. Questions: 3 coding problems (Data Structures & Algorithms level)
  4. Platform: Infosys proprietary system / HackerRank
  5. Technical Interview 

    Concepts in OOPs, DBMS, OS, CN
  6. Deep dive into projects, problem-solving approach
  7. HR Interview 

    Behavioral questions
  8. Communication & team collaboration focus

Job Location

  • Infosys campuses across India (e.g., Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mysore, etc.)
  • Training location: Infosys Mysore (on-site/off-site based on conditions)
