Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

As an Infosec Intern at Rupeek, you will:

Work closely with the Information Security Team on real-time threat monitoring and incident response
Assist in security audits, compliance documentation, and vulnerability assessments
Contribute to internal governance reports and ISO/PCI-DSS security checklists
Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams on secure coding and deployment standards
Participate in business continuity planning, penetration testing prep, and SOC activities
Maintain risk registers, process logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Stay updated on evolving cyber threats and suggest mitigations
Gain exposure to tools like Wireshark, Nessus, Burp Suite, Splunk, and more

What You'll Learn

This internship is designed to help you build practical knowledge and real-world skills, including:

Understanding of organizational security controls and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2)
Exposure to threat intelligence, endpoint protection, and IAM systems
Gaining hands-on practice with security audits, internal policies, and hardening practices
Learning how large tech systems and databases are secured in production
Exploring governance and compliance documentation relevant to fintech
Gaining a foundational understanding of cloud security practices (AWS/Azure)

Desired Skills and Traits

While you don’t need prior infosec experience, we’re looking for people with:

A curious and analytical mindset
Strong understanding of operating systems, networks, and basic scripting
Awareness of common cyber threats (phishing, DDoS, XSS, etc.)
Ability to follow documentation and contribute to structured reports
Comfortable working with Excel, dashboards, ticketing systems, or basic SQL
Strong communication and time-management skills
