What You Will Do
As a Trainee DevOps Engineer, you'll work with our experienced team of DevOps professionals and software engineers to manage, automate, and streamline development and deployment workflows. This position is ideal for recent graduates who are enthusiastic about cloud platforms, DevOps tools, infrastructure automation, and systems monitoring.
You will:
- Assist in designing and maintaining continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Work on automating repetitive infrastructure management and software delivery processes.
- Learn to monitor system health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support infrastructure provisioning across cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless deployments.
- Write and maintain scripts for automating workflows and system configuration.
- Gain hands-on exposure to real-time DevOps challenges, workflows, and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning processes.
- Monitor application and server metrics to ensure system stability and uptime.
- Perform version control and code repository management using Git.
- Support containerization and orchestration tasks using tools like Docker and Kubernetes (training provided).
- Assist in maintaining system reliability, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Document all configuration changes, deployment pipelines, and best practices.
- Work with the internal DevOps and SRE teams to support agile development cycles.
- Continuously explore new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance DevOps operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you don’t need years of experience — just the right mindset, foundational knowledge, and a desire to grow.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Tech, BCA, M.Tech, or MCA (any specialization in Computer Science or IT preferred)
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how they work
- Familiarity with Git or version control systems
- Some exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (via courses, projects, or internships)
- Understanding of scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows-based server environments
- Willingness to learn infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring tools, and automation tools
Additional Advantages
While not mandatory, the following will give you an edge:
- Completed a DevOps certification (AWS DevOps, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Internship or project work related to DevOps practices
- Hands-on labs or online course completion in cloud services, Docker, or Jenkins
- GitHub repositories or contributions that showcase DevOps interest
