About the Role
Cisco is looking for talented engineers to join the Intersight Development Team under its Data Center Compute portfolio.
Cisco Intersight is a cloud and on-premise system management platform for Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) and other data center products. It enables IT organizations to analyze, simplify, and automate infrastructure environments using analytics and machine learning-driven intelligence.
The Intersight Virtual Appliance team builds on-premise solutions that deliver the same powerful Intersight capabilities through a virtual appliance.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, startup-like core engineering team shaping the future of Data Center Infrastructure Management technology.
Your Impact
- Contribute to backend development for Intersight SaaS and On-Premise Appliance solutions
- Participate in scoping, planning, designing, implementation, and testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
- Improve product quality and enhance customer experience
- Apply cloud-native technologies to build scalable solutions
- Work in Agile teams using continuous integration and deployment processes
- Maintain awareness of evolving industry practices and platform scaling strategies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience
- Strong programming skills in Go, C++, Java, or Python
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design
- Knowledge of Distributed Computing, Data Structures, and Algorithms
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cloud computing and distributed systems
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as vSphere, HyperV, or KVM
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
